What exactly is metabolic age and how is it calculated?
Metabolic age measures how old your biology is functioning — not how long you have been alive. It is derived from six specific biomarkers: HOMA-IR, HbA1c, hsCRP, TG:HDL ratio, fasting insulin, and testosterone. Each is scored against age-adjusted population reference ranges, weighted by predictive power for metabolic dysfunction, and combined into a composite mapped to the population distribution. The assessment produces an estimate — your blood panel produces the verified number.
Do I need blood work to start the assessment?
No. The free assessment uses your lifestyle data to estimate your metabolic age range. No blood work is required to complete the assessment. Your baseline blood panel is ordered after enrolment through an independently accredited laboratory — that is what activates the guarantee and confirms your precise metabolic age at Week 0.
How does the 30% HOMA-IR guarantee work?
At enrolment we document your baseline HOMA-IR from your Week 0 blood panel through an independently accredited laboratory. At Week 12 the same laboratory retests. If your HOMA-IR has not improved by at least 30% from baseline we continue coaching you at zero additional cost until it does. Built on blood data — not on how you feel.
How is this different from what my GP does?
Your GP measures whether you are sick — not how fast you are ageing. A standard NHS panel does not include HOMA-IR, fasting insulin, hsCRP, or TG:HDL ratio.
